Services

Athletic Training

You can decrease your risk of injury and joint pain with an individualized program including functional and core strength training, stretching and balance exercises. Recent research has sown that the risk of a non-contact injury can be reduced by as much as 90% with proper re-training of your nervous system and musculoskeletal system.

Athletic trainers are trained in the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. We have four Certified Athletic Trainers on staff at SCAR, and our Certified Athletic Trainers are experienced in manual techniques including Strain/Counterstrain and Myofascial Release, as well as Kinesiotaping and McConnell taping.

The athletic training program is designed to provide student athletes access to a Certified Athletic Trainer at an affordable rate. The program includes a functional evaluation on the first visit and an individualized program designed to decrease injury risk by increasing functional strength and flexibility. This option includes full access to the gym and unlimited access to an athletic trainer for consultation and treatment, including ice, ultrasound, laser therapy and heat.

Youth Athlete Training
If you are trying to take your game to the next level or just stay in the game longer, we can design an individualized program to improve your core stability and enhance performance in any sport - individual or group rates are available. This program includes a functional screen, an individualized program and gym membership.

Team Onsite Training
We will come to you and lead your team to higher levels of fitness and athleticism. Our onsite training programs are designed to improve performance and prevent injury by developing coordination, quickness, strength and explosiveness. Speed is also improved through instruction and training in proper running/sprinting technique.

Life Sports for Adults
Playing sports is a great way to stay in shape and have fun, although as you age you lose muscle mass and mobility. Our specially designed "Life Sports Training" program will keep you conditioned to play your sport your entire life. Chronic aches and pains can come from endless repetitive motions from sports such as golf, tennis, swimming, biking and bowling.

Our program will help create muscular balance, core strength and flexibility to help maintain a healthy body to continue playing your sport with confidence. This program includes a functional screen, an individualized program and a gym membership.

At Sports Conditioning and Rehabilitation we provide you with an individualized approach to our fitness, sports and wellness programs. Our programs are based on the premise that function is the measure of health, and improvement in function can be achieved regardless of your age or ability.
